Here are some of the Innovations that has taken place at Umar Al Farouq Education Centre
- 1. The introduction of the Muallim Training Course
- Due to inadequate Imaams/Sheikhs in our communities and the Increasing demand for Imaams due to rapid growth of Islam in Malawi, Umar Al Farouq Education Centre decided to take another step to train some of the community young men with potential of leadership from across Malawi in a course that aims at increasing the number of Sheikhs who will carry and perform the duties in their communities.
- 2. The Introduction of Agriculture Course.
- This course is aimed at teaching new methods of farming to those pursuing Muallim Course. This course is intended to economically empower sheikhs/Imaams in their Communities, such that instead of depending on salaries they can also depend on themselves through Agriculture by using the new methods that they have been equipped with to generate income.
- 3. The Introduction of Computer Studies.
- As the world is moving towards technological advancement, we at Umar Al Education Centre decided to introduce computer studies to enable our students, from both Muallim and Secular departments, equip themselves with the required technical knowhow in as far as communication technology is concerned. And currently one can take a computer as a source of income by creating website, designing and many more.
- 4. Helping the needy Families.
- As one way of holding hand the needy families, we at Umar Al Farouq give Sadaqah to help their families so that it may ease some of their difficulties. This include giving Iftar packages
