The International College of Business & Management (ICBM) is a complete accredited business college operating in Malawi’s Commercial City of Blantyre opposite National Library about 200 meters off Zalewa Road. The college has all paraphernalia which includes spacious classrooms, up-to date convectional library, e-library, 2 computer laboratories, wireless & cable internet connection. It has also well qualified lecturers, librarians, disciplinary panel & well organized administration personnel with dedication.
ICBM is growing so fast to the extent that we are intending to start offering degree programs. On 29th September 2019, National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) visited the college for first assessment. On 18th December 2019, the college received provisional registration from NCHE allowing the college to make final preparations for final assessment. So far, we have gone through 90% of the processes, the final assessment was already done and we are waiting for an official communication from NCHE.
We advertised for lectureship positions, registrar and quality assurance and research officer
positions. Interviews for these posts were conducted on 26th and 27th August 2020. The interviews were well organized. We had two panels for the interviews headed by Professor Sajidu and Dr. G. Msilimba.
Performance
Alhamdulillah the college’s performance is quite impressive. Disregarding the Covid-19 pandemic, our students and lecturers are performing equally well. The college continues to provide good results to match the slogan “ICBM striving for excellence”.
On 25th September 2019, the college conducted graduation ceremony at COMESA Hall in Blantyre City where 145 students were graduated in different courses such as Business management, Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, Community Development, Public Health, Banking and Computer Information Systems.
